Ask whether the message changes over time
A cover-to-inner relationship may benefit from a folding sequence because the movement explains how the two prepared states connect. A detailed interface review may benefit more from an open still because the viewer can inspect it without waiting for the right frame.
A static hero can also be the stronger primary asset when it sits beside a long explanation or a clear call to action. Choose the medium that helps the reader understand the feature in that placement.
Match the medium to the placement
The following is a practical decision table, not a list of platform restrictions. Confirm the destination's current requirements before publishing.

Prepare a fallback even when motion leads
A useful motion package includes a representative still and a short text description. That lets the content remain meaningful when the video is paused or not used. Keep the fallback's finish, source and message consistent with the sequence.
Consider actual file size, intended display dimensions and screen clarity together. Do not assume a smaller file is equivalent in quality, or that a larger export improves a weak source. Native SynthMock image and video exports require paid access, and video needs a supported browser workflow. Choose the delivery before authoring an elaborate sequence so the final format serves a real placement rather than becoming an unused extra file.
