Saving the scene is only useful if its uploaded artwork is available when you return. Finish the uploads, save deliberately, and verify a reopened project before treating it as a reusable source.

Finish the current operation first
Before leaving a project, wait for pending source uploads to finish. A file preview appearing immediately does not always mean the file has completed its upload. Check the large inner source and any independent small outer source.
Keep one active editing tab for the project. Simultaneous edits in multiple tabs or browsers make it harder to know which version should win; the app can ask you to resolve an already-open project. Follow that prompt rather than continuing to make divergent changes.
Use a small reopen check
A useful project name identifies the design and composition. Avoid names that differ only by a long timestamp when you expect to reuse the scene frequently.
- Pause the timeline on a recognizable frame.
- Wait until the source cards finish any upload activity.
- Save the project through the project menu and confirm that no error remains.
- Return to Projects and reopen that project.
- Inspect Fold at closed and open views, or select the corresponding timeline frames.
- Replay the sequence far enough to verify the sources and motion you just saved.
Diagnose a missing or older state
If one screen looks wrong after reopening, determine whether it had an independent source or was linked to the large image. A linked cover showing the large image is expected; it is not necessarily a lost upload.
If saving reports a connection or size error, keep the project open while resolving it. Do not assume navigating away will finish an unsuccessful save. Check the current account and project name before repeating an upload, especially after opening a shared template into a new project. Once the reopened scene is correct, it is a safer starting point for making a template or exporting a campaign.
